Please join us on Sunday, February 23, 2025, as we celebrate the 100th anniversary of the birth of the Honorable Louis Stokes, and launch our year-long celebration of his life and work. Admission to this event is free, and all are welcome!
In 1968, Louis Stokes (1925-2015) became the first Black congressman to be elected from the state of Ohio, and he served in that capacity for 30 years. The list of related activities for the centenary year also includes:
