Join artist Amanda D. King for a conversation about place, memory, and the act of cultural preservation through photography. This talk considers how photography becomes an act of both presence and preservation, contributing to the evolving visual narrative of Black Cleveland life. Admission to the program is included with Cleveland History Center general admission. Guests are invited to come early or stay after to explore all the museum exhibit galleries, including History in Their Hands: Black Photographers in Cleveland, Ohio, 1968-Present. Amanda D. King is featured in this inaugural exhibit open now in the African American History Gallery.

Please mark your calendars for a special Arts and Humanities Alive (AHA!) public program that will showcase the work of Robert C. Banks, Jr., an award-winning photographer and filmmaker, who will be in conversation with artist Georgio Sabino. The program will also include live jazz by Horns and Things, a curated exhibition featuring works by student photographers, and special tributes to Congressman Louis Stokes. Admission is free, but registration is required. Registration will open in September, so please watch for more details.
